A home floor pump rated to 260 psi. The Topeak JoeBlow Ace (TJB-ACE) uses three stages: both barrels for volume at low pressure, then the small barrel up to 260 psi / 18 bar. SmartHead fits Schrader and Presta without swapping parts, and a Dunlop adapter is in the box. It is not a shock pump and it has no air chamber.
At a glance
- Type: floor pump
- Brand: Topeak. Article TJB-ACE
- Maximum: 260 psi / 18 bar, analog gauge in the base
- Stages: about 0–60 psi, 60–120 psi, and 120–260 psi
- Barrel: aluminium. Weight 2.4 kg. Size 26 x 18.5 x 74 cm
- Head: SmartHead for Schrader and Presta. Presta adapter, Dunlop adapter, and ball / bladder needles included
- Not for suspension forks or rear shocks
Easier at low pressure, still able to finish high

Road tyres often need well over 80 psi, and a single-barrel pump gets heavy near the end. Topeak describes the Ace selector in three stages.
- Stage 1, about 0–60 psi: both barrels open. Topeak says this takes about 30% less effort than a standard floor pump
- Stage 2, about 60–120 psi: the main barrel only
- Stage 3, about 120–260 psi: the small barrel, up to the 260 psi gauge
The gauge sits in the base so you can read it while you pump. A release button near the head lets you bleed a little pressure without pulling the head off.
Schrader, Presta and Dunlop

SmartHead adjusts to Schrader (American) and Presta (French) valves without a parts swap. The Taiwan Topeak page lists the head for those two valves, and lists a Presta adapter, a Dunlop (British) adapter, ball and bladder needles, and a hose dock as added parts.

Open a Presta valve locknut before you pump. Use the Dunlop adapter for a British valve. Do not force the SmartHead onto it.
Who it suits
- Home use on road, mountain or city bikes, including tyres above 100 psi
- Households with both Schrader and Presta valves
- Not for suspension, and not for seating tubeless tyres with a stored air blast. For that, see the Topeak JoeBlow Booster
If 160 psi is enough and you want a lighter pump, the Topeak JoeBlow Sport III is rated to 160 psi, with a steel barrel and a weight of 1.68 kg.
Not for suspension
Topeak's Taiwan page says a suspension fork or rear shock needs a separate Pressure-Rite adapter. English retailer listings say the pump is not recommended for a fork or rear shock. Shock air volumes and fittings are not the same as a tyre. Do not pump a shock with this head.
There is also no Booster-style air chamber, so do not use the Ace to seat a tubeless tyre. Topping up a tyre that is already seated, up to 260 psi, is what it is built for.

Figures are from each model's Topeak page. The three size lines are copied in each page's own order, so the three numbers are not the same length, width and height sequence. Some overseas shops list 586 cc for Ace stage 1 and a 105 cm hose. Those two lines are not on the Taiwan specification table, so they are not in the spec below.
A Jollymap note
If the household has both road and mountain bikes and you often go past 100 psi, the Ace's 260 psi ceiling leaves more headroom than the Sport III. If the job is seating tubeless tyres, the Booster's chamber is the matching tool.
If the valve or a shock is in doubt, contact us before ordering. Use the enquiry page or the Jollymap Facebook page, and send a close-up of the valve.

FAQ
How high can it go?
260 psi, which is 18 bar. The base gauge is marked to that figure. Stage 3 on the handle is about 120–260 psi.
Does it fit Presta, Schrader and Dunlop?
Yes. SmartHead fits Schrader and Presta without a head swap. Dunlop uses the adapter in the box. A Presta adapter and ball needles are included too.
Can I pump a suspension fork or shock?
No. Topeak says suspension needs a separate Pressure-Rite adapter. This pump is not the tool for a shock air chamber.
Can it seat a tubeless tyre?
No. The Ace has no stored-air chamber. To seat a tyre onto the rim in one blast, use the JoeBlow Booster. The Ace is for inflating a tyre that is already on the rim, including high-pressure road tyres.
Ace, Sport III or Booster?
The Sport III stops at 160 psi and is lighter at 1.68 kg, which is enough for many home pumps. The Ace reaches 260 psi with three stages for high-pressure road tyres. The Booster also stops at 160 psi, but its chamber is for seating tubeless tyres. All three are on the shop.
Is it suitable for a first floor pump, and how do the stages work?
Yes, as a pump that stays at home. Start on 60 until the tyre is around 60 psi, move to 120, and use 260 only if the tyre needs more. Stop at the pressure printed on the tyre, and do not pass the pump's 260 psi limit.
It will not inflate, or the head leaks. What should I check?
Open the Presta locknut, push the head on fully, and fit the Dunlop adapter if that is the valve. Holding the release button lets air out. Hoses and heads wear out. Topeak lists service parts for this model; ask us whether we have them before you assume we do.
How heavy is it, and how much floor space does it need?
2.4 kg, and the listed size is 26 x 18.5 x 74 cm. It is a floor pump for home or the workshop, not a mini pump for a saddle bag.
