The Bryton Rider S510 is a 2.8-inch colour touchscreen GPS bike computer with up to 30 hours of battery, preloaded OSM maps, and on-device rerouting without an app connection. It suits riders who want a colour touchscreen, a map on the device, and training tools.

At a glance

Screen and navigation

2.8-inch colour touchscreen

The global specification table lists a 2.8-inch high-reflectance colour TFT LCD and marks the touchscreen as included. The body measures 87.2 x 56.8 x 14.9 mm and weighs 96 g. A light sensor adjusts the backlight.

Climb Challenge 2.0

Bryton says Climb Challenge 2.0 predicts upcoming climbs without importing a route first, with live climb data and post-ride analysis.

Preloaded maps, turns and rerouting

OSM maps are preloaded. Guidance shows street names, points of interest, peaks, distance and direction. Bryton’s Advanced Routing text says the S510 finds a way back onto the track itself, and that no app connection is needed. On-device Reroute is marked on the specification table.

With an internet connection, voice search can look up a place. Bryton says it recognises more than 100 languages through Google. Back to start, reverse route, explore and route planning are also on the specification table.

Training and connections

Workouts and power

Planned workouts can be used via the Bryton Active App or TrainingPeaks. Steps and a progress bar appear on the device, and the screen can zoom. Up to 10 data fields are listed. Bike types cover road, indoor, MTB, gravel and cyclocross, with 3 bike profiles. The quick status page is customisable.

Paired with a compatible pedal power meter, it can show seated or standing position, power distribution, PCO and left/right balance.

Strava Live Segments

After starred segments are synced in the Bryton Active App, the device can compare your time with a personal record, friends or a KOM, and show the time gap.

Indoor training, sensors and radar

ANT+ FE-C smart trainers and virtual ride are marked on the specification table. Satellites listed are GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou and QZSS, with a barometric altimeter. Wireless is Bluetooth for iOS and Android. ANT+ sensors are listed as heart rate, speed, cadence, power, radar and light. Bluetooth sensors are listed as heart rate.

Electronic shifting compatibility is Shimano Di2, SRAM eTap, Campagnolo EPS and FSA K-FORCE WE. E-bike support is Shimano STEPS and ANT+ LEV.

Bike rearview radar is marked on the specification table. Bryton’s description says a connected ANT+ rear-view radar can detect vehicles up to about 150 m behind, with colour and sound alerts. Rides can sync through the Bryton Active App to Strava, TrainingPeaks, Komoot, Relive and Ride with GPS. Live Track and group ride are also listed.

The waterproof line is incidental exposure to water of up to 1 metre for up to 30 minutes. Operating temperature is -10°C to 50°C.
