Screen and controls
Full-colour touchscreen and light sensor
The specification table lists a Color TFT Capacitive Touch Screen, 2.8 inches, with touchscreen marked. Data is shown in colour rather than on a mono screen. An ambient light sensor adjusts brightness, and preset brightness levels are also described.

Customisable function key
Bryton says this extra key can be set to an action you use often, such as jumping to the map, recalling the latest notification, or a long press to save the current ride.

Quick status
From a data page, a tap shows sensor status, battery, GPS, time and the latest notifications. Bryton says smart notifications, laps, sensors, light control and power calibration can be arranged to preference.
Navigation and climbs
Preloaded OSM and turn-by-turn
Preloaded map and turn-by-turn are both marked on the specification table. Bryton says that whether you are exploring or following a downloaded route, street names, points of interest, peaks, distance and direction appear on the preloaded OSM map. Reroute is marked “Via Bryton Active App”. Back to start and reverse route are marked as not included.
Climb Challenge
Bryton says that after a route is imported, the Bryton Active App builds the gradient information. The computer then shows a graphical climb, colour-coded grade, segment distance, elevation, ascent and the start point. This is not the Climb Challenge 2.0 behaviour on the S510, which does not require a route to be imported first.

Training and connections
Planned workouts can be used via the Bryton Active App or TrainingPeaks, with steps and a progress bar on the device. Up to 10 data fields are listed. Bike types cover road, indoor, MTB, gravel and cyclocross, with 3 bike profiles. Paired with a compatible pedal power meter, it can show seated or standing position, power distribution, PCO and left/right balance. ANT+ FE-C smart trainers and virtual ride are marked.
Satellites listed are GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou and QZSS, with a barometric altimeter. Wireless is Bluetooth for iOS and Android. ANT+ sensors are listed as heart rate, speed, cadence, power, radar and light. Electronic shifting compatibility is Shimano Di2, SRAM eTap, Campagnolo EPS and FSA K-FORCE WE. E-bike support is Shimano STEPS and ANT+ LEV; Bryton says assist level, battery and gear position can be shown.
Bike rearview radar is marked on the specification table. Bryton’s description says a connected ANT+ rear-view radar can detect vehicles up to about 150 m behind. The diagram below shows devices that can be connected. It is not a list of what is in the box. Rides can sync to Strava, TrainingPeaks, Komoot, Relive and Ride with GPS. Live Track and group ride are also listed.
The body measures 84.5 x 56.8 x 16 mm and weighs 92 g. The waterproof line is incidental exposure to water of up to 1 metre for up to 30 minutes. Operating temperature is -10°C to 50°C.
